Himalayan Blackberry

Hi all,

I recently moved to South Jordan. I purchased some blackberry plants at a plant sale and upon arriving home, I realized that I had gotten a Himalayan Blackberry with my Triple Crown. I didn't know much about it beyond what the tag said: that it had an incredible flavor and would require a trellis. I planted it alongside my Triple Crown. Recently I was researching care for blackberries and on entering Himalayan Blackberry into the search bar was bombarded with pages talking about how to get rid of this invasive and noxious species.
My questions, therefore, are do I rip this plant out now before it takes over? Do I leave it and prune it? Will it overrun and prevent growth in my other blackberries? Why would it be sold at a plant sale if it is an environmental invader?
