Cherry Tree loosing bark and dying

Posted by toomoxy none (My Page) on

I love my beautiful cherry trees.
This year my one just died. I am so upset.
I see what I guess is burrowing lines all over it and bark just falling off of it.
On my good trees I can see this seeming to start and I did find some "shells" of beetles stuck on it.
My questions are:
1. Can I save my existing trees ?
2. What do I need to do to ensure they don't die
3. What killed my dead one and how do I avoid this in my good trees..
I have a few photos of the bugs and my good trees
I have been debating ordering this tree injection poison... thank you

I use a product the is a systemic insect killer! It is made by Bayer and works great to kill bugs that eat you trees. It is added to water and is then used to water the tree! The tree absorbs the liquid and when the bugs eat they die! Worth a try! Home Depot sells it!
