Should I plant now or wait until first of November? Thanks so much.

I would not wait. If you are in extreme Southwest you might want to ask around but I can't think of any reason for waiting, even there.

I plant whenever the mood strikes. I've even planted during a warm spell in December or January when the ground is not frozen. As long as you can dig down the required depth -- generally 4-6 inches -- , you can plant throughout the fall and early winter.

I live in northern Utah, by the way.

RE: When to plant Daffadil Bulbs

I just bought a bunch of bulbs on a half-price sale at Lowe's in Lehi. $10 for 80 daffodil bulbs. Not too bad. I also got some hyacinth bulbs there. I'll probably plant next weekend if the weather is OK, but I've planted daffodils in December and had no problem. I think sooner is probably better than later, because they'll get a chance to start growing roots before deep winter, but they still work in December.

I'll post a link below that has some advice.

Here is a link that might be useful: Daffodil info
