Master Gardener Class 2008

I've been reading some old posts this morning while I wait for the frost to leave my lawn so I can go out and plant more bulbs.

I took the 2007 Master Gardener class at Thanksgiving Point. The teacher is LARRY SAGERS! Anyone who is anywhere near Lehi should really consider taking this new class that starts in January. It was awesome! (One lady drove down twice a week from Eden!) Larry is the best! I was able to do most of my 40 volunteer hours at Thanksgiving Point during the Tulip Festival, then later digging up bulbs and helping in the greenhouse.

I live in South Jordan and am really trying to take advantage of the great weather that we're having after that long stretch of awful Saturdays! The more that I get done this Fall will only put me farther ahead next Spring, right?

What is the time committment? It sounds like there are 40 hours of volunteer work, classes twice a week, but what time and how long do the classes run? Is this something working people can do?

RE: Master Gardener Class 2008

Classes went for about 10 weeks, twice a week. There's an afternoon class too, but I took the evening class that Larry taught. It went from 6-8 p.m. so some came right from work.
