| I ordered some garlic seed online because it was on sale thinking that after I ordered it I would read up on planting and just generally learn more about growing garlic. It was after I ordered that I realized it was probably too late to be planting. So my question is what should I do with this garlic seed I ordered? I ordered the California Late White (softneck) Obviously I am very new to gardening! Thanks so much for any help/thoughts/tips |

| You can plant garlic any time but they may not do so well. There is a very good instructional page by Utah State University on the subject, and here is the link: http://extension.usu.edu/files/publications/publication/HG_2004-02.pdf
I would suggest you start the seeds indoors in a sunny warm place, then transplant the seedlings to a row covered outdoor grow box in March making sure they are about three inches apart in we'll fertilized and composted soil. |
