I started alot of seeds too! Planted the garlic in Oct/Nov. 2014.
I started several different species Milkweed, Dutchmans Pipe, Passionvine.. Several others are under the lights as well...

I just cant wait to get in the garden :)

CGHPND - How do you plan to grow your passion vine, considering that that they cannot withstand the hard VA winters? I plan to plant mine in a pot and have them run up one corner of my pergola (pictured) where I have fuzzy kiwis growing up the other 3 corners. Before winter I will trim it back to a manageable height and bring it inside.

All of my globe and imperial artichokes have germinated and I have about 18 2-inch seedlings. I only have room for a maximum of 10 in my garden. I will try to trade the rest for something interesting. To get them to flower, I will need to vernalize them from 38-50 degrees for 2-4 weeks. I will start that in late March.

A friend gave me a potted passionvine later in the season. I didnt have anywhere to put it so i put it in a small green house (portable from lowes) I put the pot inside another larger pot with leaf and pine needle debris acting as an insulator.
The greenhouse is on the patio which is protected on all sides. I live on the ground level of an apt building.
Im going to plant it this spring if it survives.. I have a huge garden plot I rent.
My friend has just mulched very heavily with hers. :)

cghpnd - What type of passion fruit is yours? Mine is supposed to be giant purple. The seeds have not germinated yet. Takes 2-4 months.
