I don't know of anyone in the area that sells compost, but there is a rock quarry in Roanoke (Rockydale) that takes all of the city's collected leaves, composts them with their own materials and sells the topsoil for $8 - $10 per ton. I use this topsoil in my raised beds and my plants are very happy.
