| 15 yesterday morning. 9 this morning. January I was willing to believe global warming was showing effect; so far February has me contemplating the mystery of those folks who LIKE bitterly cold weather. I'm not one of them. OTOH, I don't have any orange trees that will suffer from this cold spell. |

| Brutally cold in Northern Virginia (Manassas). My outdoor thermometer read just a hair above zero at 6 this morning. So far, the arugula is still surviving in my clumsily made cold frames. Everything else (collards, kohlrabi, Swiss chard, mustard greens, rutabaga) that's covered in row fabric or not at all, looks pretty sad or dead. |

| Yes!, wicked cold! 13 this morning at the bus stop, I hope all my marginally hardy plants will survive-figs (6), banana (1), & palm (1), I also have a few J. maples in containers I'm concerned about... |

| Payback is heck! All that beautiful balmy weather we had during the fall and early winter has to be balanced out by nasty cold bone-chilling ick. Lowest I've seen here this winter is 8 degrees earlier this week. I'm ready for June. |

| It's 72 hours away, but something is going to fall here in Henrico, might be nothing more than rain, or could be a foot of snow.....Please rain! Need to get milk & bread in the morning. |

Hey Harry,
If you're like us, you got a couple of inches of ice-my kids have been out of school since Tuesday afternoon, my little patio tent collapsed, because I didn't clear the ice off in time, & I don't see warm temps in the near future... |

| Nothing more than some ice on the windshield the other morning. It is supposed to get up into the 50s next Tuesday & Wednesday, time to get the golf clubs out! |
