I hope you found the plants you where looking for. However, Monarch caterpillars apparently feed exclusively on species of Asclepias. Some sources claim that Asclepias curassavica is their favorite food source. Asclepias includes the native milkweed (A. syriaca) but none of the species I am familiar with are vines.

I would try plant scout on Dave's garden and see if they come up with a source.

Save yourself a lot of money and plant parsely. Any kind. They LOVE it and feed on it at our nursery every summer.

Hmmm - are you sure that what you think is monarch caterpillars isn't actually swallowtail caterpillars? The coloring is similar, but the design is different. Monarchs are quite specific to Asclepias, while swallowtails like all the umbelliferae (parsley, fennel, Queen Anne's Lace, etc).
