Our water heater was leaking out of a pipe to the side of our house and we've had 2-4 inches of water sitting there for a few weeks (about a 8 square foot area). It has mostly dried up in the past few days (since we rerouted the leak away from the house) and there are some green spots and mildewy looking dead leaves. Weeds have been growing there just fine!

This area had some veggies last year and I plan to just put flowers there this year. Is this area now subject to disease or mold issues that will stay with the dirt. Just worried about any plants that I plan to put in that spot. Any advice would really help!
