Dig Bulbs Now and Store for Summer

Somewhat new to working with bulbs - moved to Central Virginia from Texas.

I have all these wonderful bulbs blooming that I need to move. I am very tempted to dig them up now because I know where they are and then store them in the basement until fall to replant them in their new homes. Thoughts?

RE: Dig Bulbs Now and Store for Summer

If you know where you're going to replant, you can do it now. If you're going to dry and store, it's better to let the foliage ripen and brown so the bulb will be ready for its next growing season.
