| There is a place up in Ashland, a bit of a drive for you, called the Ashland Feed Store. By far the best selection of stuff for organic lawn care that I've been able to find. They're got the staples (cracked corn, corn gluten meal, and alfalfa meal) and are very reasonably priced. A 50# bag of cracked corn was under $10, a 50# bag of CGM was just about $25, and a 50# bag of alfalfa meal was $18, I think. I've checked out Southern States, the local Strange's florist, and etc and this was the only place I could find with all of these, and they had the best price as well.... There's also a feed store in powhatan which might be a bit closer, depending on where exactly you are in midlothian. |
