Loudoun Composting

I have been curious about what happens with the yard waste collected in the county of Loudoun. I doubt that the leaves and grass clippings collected go into the free mulch. I know that some municipalities provide free or cheap compost from collected waste, but not Loudoun. I searched the web and I am not sure that I answered my question but I did come across a company that looks interesting: Loudoun Composting.

Has anybody heard of these guys? It looks like they have a composting facility off Route 50. Their website indicates that they sell leaf mulch and compost, but I see that they say wholesale only. Is this where yard waste collected in Loudoun County goes?

BTW, here are some other compost related links that I turned up while searching:

RE: Loudoun Composting

I just phoned for prices. You can buy from 10 to 40 yards of either their leaf mulch or the compost. There's a delivery charge that ain't cheap ($150 to my house). Prices are $24/yard for compost and $16/yard for leaf mulch. I know I can use 10 yards of compost even in my little yard in a growing season.

The Rexrodes also sell compost from where Windy Hill used to be on Route 50 west of Lenah. Also not cheap, but the compost, though heavy, is decent.
