Hi Folks,
I just planted a four foot white pine, the needles look pale.

Would it be ok to put a little Ironite on it?

Thanks,
Walt1

Walt, you might want to have a soil test done before you add anything. If you just planted it, was it potted or balled and burlaped? Was it pale when you got it or has it declined since planted? If it wasn't in good condition when you got it, go talk to the store where you purchased it and see if they have any guarantee on their plants. If it's declining soon after planting, the problem is not likely to be your soil but something from before you got it or something in your planting technique.

gardener_sandy,

The pine looks healthy,I just planted it a week a go, I have six other pines growing in the same area, when looking at all of them together, this newest one looked paler in color.
The soil is the same as the other pines are going in.

Thanks
Walt1
