Hello Folks,
I have seven white pines I planted a year ago, right now they are candling new growth.
Would this be a good time to fertilize with a organic fertilizer such as Hollytone?

It seems to me that this would be a benefit now to push growth, I want a privacy screen as quick as possible.

Thanks,
Walt1

RE: The Best Fertilization Time???

Spring is a good time to fertilize evergreen trees. Be sure you soil is not already very acidic or Hollytone may push the pH too low. A soil test is a good idea. (Voice of experience here. I used "azalea food" for years on a border and got the pH so low even the acid-loving azaleas were barely surviving. I ended up having to lime the bed for a couple of years to get it back where it belonged.)
