After applying top soil and rototillering the entire ground, we applied lime and fertilizer (per direction of our local lawn testing center) and shade mix grass. Within weeks we had a lush lawn and then the rain came....and came.....and came for a month. Patches of my lawn turned yellow and died. My son says the roots rotted from too much water. I am left with large sections of no grass throughout my yard. What should I do now? Summers in our area are stifling with high 90s heat and humidity over 86%. When should I reseed? Do I need to do anything to prepare the ground? The lawn was so thick and beautiful and now it is devastated!
