 o
brown beetles!

for the past several days I have been finding these ugly brown beetles. I found 4 outside on my picture window on the sill lying on their backs. I don't think they are Japanese beetles. These are brown beetles, about 1/2" long. You can see a line down their back which is I guess where their wings fold (?) I haven't seen a beetle since I had a rose bush years ago. I dug up that rose because I couldn't control the Japanese beetles. What are these brown beetles and where are they coming from?

Donnas ~ there are probably 5 million different brown, brownish, and brown-black beetles; and a lot of those will be about a half-inch. If you can post a picture, maybe someone can figure out which beetle is visitng you.

meldy, sorry to take so long to get back to you. I'm not seeing many of these beetles, a few here and there. I don't even own a digital camera. I still have my old Canon Sure Shot, lol, but I love that camera!! Maybe one day I'll get brave enough to buy a digital and try to figure out how to get the pictures from there onto here. I'm sure it's not hard.
