| Looking for the Most hearty and successful types of cucumbers in my area. Have mostly grow Striaght eights over the years with great success. Looking for other types as successful. |

| Grew Cukes in the New River Valley for 28 years. Mostly slicers because that is what I like. China Long. Straight Eight, Straight Nine, Poinsett, Marketmore, Ashley. All of them did well, but Straight Nine was my favorite. Very similar to Straight Eight but a shade larger. Down here I am experimenting with some of the hybrids, but other than some disease resistance, no appreciable advantage. |
