| I am not sure I am in the right fourm...I usually spend my time in the tractor forum, and I KNOW that is not the right one. Anyway....I have a lot of St. Augustine grass that is just turning brown and dieing...huge patches....30 or 40 feet in some cases. I have used a comercial insectise (Talstar) , but I don't think it's helping alot. I took a sample of the grass to the local nursery and they sent it off for anaylsis, but it hasen't come back yet. I ahve pictures, but am unsure how to post them. If anyone could help me before my back yard turns to a dust bowl, I sure would appreciate it! Thanks!

| You need to be sure what the problem is before you do any more treatment. Take a sample of the turf to your local cooperative extension office and they can get a diagnosis for you. Call them and ask how large a sample they want, usually 3" x 3" x deep enough to get the roots and from a transition zone between healthy turf and that with the problem. Good luck. |
