Chickens are great and the LOVE worm bins. All the little creatures in and around the wormery causes them to scratch like crazy.

Unless your flowthrough is in the garden, It may be quite the mess. I would suspect that you would have castings everywhere. Also the chickens would have to be supervised, as they have poor table manners. Leave 'em alone for an hour or 2 and your entire bin may be on the floor.

I have used my girls to de-clump VC and spread in the garden. They are also charged with daytime security. They diligently patrol the perimeter of my wormbeds for escapee's.
