bathtub worm bin

I started a bath tub worm bin last summer. It is outside so I was kind of worried over the winter. But today I pulled out all of the lovely dark crumbly soil and filled the bin again with new paper and a bucket that was about 3/4 full of kitchen waste that had also sat out over the winter. I was shocked at how many worms were in that tub. I am guessing it did well. I left lots of the worms in the tub, some went out around plants, and a small amount are going to get swimming lessons today, hope they like fish!

So now another year of allowing it to eat my kitchen waste. Now why didn't I do something like this before, it is just way to easy.
