Links inside Bentleys post to other articles. Basically certain bacteria in soil once absorbed can increase seratonin in the brain. http://blog.nwf.org/2011/03/it%E2%80%99s-in-the-dirt-bacteria-in-soil- may-make-us-happier-smarter/ Not too suprising I guess as so many of our body functions rely on bacteria anyway, it's something we've evolved with. |
