fiber supplements okay for worm food?

My sister got a couple different fiber products and doesn't like them. One is psyllium husks. It's an actual seed covering and would be broken down by bacteria.

It's known, however, for absorbing up to 100x its weight in water. (which is why people take it) So would that be a problem in the worm bin?

Another product is inulin, a natural product of decomposing plant matter. It's a sugar molecule that's broken down by bacteria and gives off lactic acid. Since my worms live primarily on paper and coffee grounds, I don't think they'd be bothered by the acidity.

I just wanted someone else's take on whether I could put this stuff in the worm bin, or maybe just into the garden, or in the let-it-rot compost pile. Any ideas?
