Strange, I can not find any cocoons. Obviously my worms are breeding. I frequently find juveniles on the inside of the lid. This morning I took a quick look and one lid had two of them and another had 4. The cocoons must be there but I no seeum.

Cocoons buried in the VC and bedding can be hard to find.

I have to take a handfulof VC into the full sunlight to see coccoons. Indoor lighting just does not cut it for me.

Just wait until the bin is 6 months old and when you harvest, you see a thousand cocoons. Think you're excited now!?!

I fluffed up my bedding today because I thought it was all matted where the bedding went down so much. It turned out that my worms have been really busy. I was surprised with how much they've processed in just a week. I did see at least one cocoon so hopefully more will soon follow. I also saw about 20 fat, white larva things which I think might be fungus gnats. :/ With my worms appetite though, I don't know if they'll make it to 6 months before having to be harvested. I added in a bunch of cardboard for aeration and try to help keep the moisture level up. This is very exciting. :)
