Will the bug population die down?

I left my overflow of food scraps in an outdoor bin with small holes in it. I had no idea that it was infested with all sorts of crazy critters when I added it to my otherwise "clean" worm bin. Now I have white spiders, pot worms and/or maggots, hairy pill bugs, slimey white egg-like things covering a couple of dead worms, and a few mystery bugs that I don't even care to identify. Is this "infestation" temporary? Will the bugs die off by the time I'm ready to harvest? I don't want buggy castings. Should I wait it out, try to separate my worms and rinse them off to start over, or just give the bin away as-is? Thanks.
