Good and Bad using worms from manure

I have access to manure from a horse stable. I've brought home worms twice from the manure pile.

Neither time I've noticed any flies buzzing around me nor coming out of the pile when I dig into it. However after a day or two of having the worms in my bins, I have fungas gnats in my spare bedroom (where the bins are).

They're congregating on the window and the curtain, and my worms are stressed.

I've taken the bin outside (I only put the manure worms in 1 bin), stirred it up a bit to encourage any fungas gnats to fly away. Didn't notice any.

I've vacuumed them out of the window and have yellow sticky tape and cider vinegar to trap them.

Thank heavens hubby doesn't seem upset, although he is thrilled they haven't migrated to the living room.

I hate to not bring any home when they are free, but I sure don't need flies. Also some stick-like critters about 1 1/2" long. No idea what they are.

I'm hoping they all just die a natural death, but can't be certain.
