Could you give us a description of your setup? From what you have said I would suggest patience. Just let things alone for another 10 days and then look again. There are more knowledgeable than me here and I'm sure you will get helpful responses.

You don't even need to remove the worms & cocoons. Simply grab vermicompost with high worm castings content and put it into a paint strainer bag. Tie the bag securely. Make sure you aerate well (worms can "breathe" in well-aerated water) and once the tea is done you can return all the material left in the bag to your worm bin.

If you're lazy like me, simply dunk the big tea bag in a bucket 20-30 times for instant VC tea. It might not be as beneficial as AAVCT, but it's still pretty good.
