Too small to be mites?

I have not fed my worms many scraps as my bin has been pretty wet. I have been adding dry bedding regularly. Tonight, I decided to feed them our strawberries that were turning. When I opened the bin I noticed that the sides of the bins were dirty (I'm assuming this is castings). Also, there were teeny tiny little brown things EVERYWHERE. I figured they were mites, didn't add more food, just added some bedding. But all the pictures I've researched makes the mites look larger than what I have. I'm hoping these aren't spider babies or something. They are sooooo tiny. You have to really look to see them. Could they still be mites? Or are they another problem?

Also, the advice I read, to leave the bin out in the sun for a few hours, sounds great. But then I'm afraid of other critters coming to live in the bin (ie flies, etc).
