I do something similar. When the compost is just about done, I mix it with shredded newspaper and cardboard and add it to the outside worm bins. I don't screen the compost. Once or twice a week I still add some leftover kitchen scraps from feeding the inside worm bins. My worms are big and happy. I don't harvest the outside bins - I just scoop out what I need. I've started using a very similar method. I screen the compost and use that for garden mulching and use what's left for bedding. It's working out well, but I'm having to harvest much sooner as the worms seem to be exploding in population and appetite with this method. The stuff becomes castings in just a few weeks. I started with 5 gallon buckets with only a few inches of compost in the bottom and a half pound of wigglers. I supplemented with ground corn and oats at first before I realized how much they liked the compost. Now I just add an inch or so of compost every other day. They crawl up to that layer while the bottom keeps compacting with castings. Since it's working so well and I hate using paper products that should be instead recycled I started using this in my worm factory and a couple outdoor bins. Now I feel like I'm composting for worm food as much as for compost for the garden beds.

Harvesting?

When i planted tomatoes a few weeks ago i just grabbed a few handfulls from the bottom for the holes, picked out most of the worms and planted. Yesterday i mixed my bin all up( just about pure castings) moved it all to one side and put half of the bin with some of that 3/4 compost.
