Could they be babies?

I've had an indoor bin for almost a year and all has been fine. Thinking it's time for fresh bedding again (getting damper as volume of castings increases), and noticed hundreds of little white things, some kind of round but most are skinny, barely 1/16" long. They wiggle and crawl around. Could they possibly be baby worms??? Or something very awful? They weren't there last week. Many thanks for any info/advice.

Baby worms (even very small ones) have a bit of a reddish color. You may very well have two things you are seeing. The round ones are probably mites. The skinny ones are pot worms. Go to link below for more info on these members of your worm bin.
