Feeding Hemp Seeds to Worms

I recently received a 5 lbs. bag of sterilized hemp seeds from a friend who previously used them as bird feed.

Do you see any harm from using these both as an ingredient to mix into the worm's food and bedding?

I realize that they would take quite a while to breakdown completely but I believe in the meantime they would also help to aerate the food and bedding.

Please let me know your thoughts on this. I would rather not let let this resource go to waste but I do not want to unintentionally bring any harm to my herd.

I would add a small amount to see how the worms react. One possible issue is that it could heat the bin up; similar to what rice or beans would do.
