Full StoryRecently 5 to 8 half inch Stubies were in the collection area. I think that is the total number of these things in the whole bin. They were indeed composting worms. Just not as long as they used to be. Maybe you all were right about too much playing with the worms. I think what did it was a few single strands of very long hair got into the bin. This may of guillotined a few worms. Hair takes a long time to break down. It retains strength for months. If the damage was not mechanical it could of been chemical breakdown. I'll try to be more gentle and keep the odd dangerous hair out of the bin.
