One episode of Dirty Jobs had Mike visit a family in Florida that make their living collecting worms in one of the state parks..Apal???? I forget which. But they use a flat iron bar rubbing across a wood stake. Some research has shown that this actually is a similar frequency to what moles make..so the worms flee.
