Can I mix red and regular worms in the same bin?

So I ordered red wrigglers online and have been composting with them all winter until now. I just have an indoor bin. i wasn't expecting anything magical but they seem very very slow. I was also wondering if I can dig up worms from my yard and put them in there as well. is it ok to mix two different kinds of worms??? Thanks in advance.

Nightcrawlers don't do well in a bin. They need to go deep so if you have nightcrawlers in your yard then leave them there.
