Time to post an update;
It's been a week my enc's "Eisenia hortensis" are doing great. a little back ground on the stock. They are from an order from three years ago, and have been used for fish bait. A friend of mine was keeping them in two 2 gal. plastic pails filled with sandy garden soil and grass. he fed them on ucg and leftover fruit.he would take half of the bedding out of one pail put in feed and put the bedding back over the feed then do the same with the other pail. When winter came he added extra feed and put pails in the basement over winter, up here about 6 mo. I could not belive he still had worms. he had never changed bedding.or seperated casings.I would guess enc's are tough I allso think he fed them just enough to keep them alive for fishing.I can"t belive he did not have a jail break. Now to the people who welcomed me thank you I was very tired when I wrote first post.Not so bad tonight. Like I say you just have to love people who will separate worms from there poo and laugh about it.
