My worms are going on the road! I'm going to be exhibiting some DIY science stuff at a local "Maker Faire" in a couple of weeks. I was able to buy a little dissecting microscope, and the worms and friends are by far the most interesting thing I've found to use it for. I have springtails, potworms, and a few smaller critters that I don't think are baby springtails. The microscope has a camera function, but at the moment my computing power is uhhh limited and it's not hooked up yet.

I'm going to move a portion of my bin into a smaller bin and leave it in the large bin to acclimate, hoping the worms don't escape. Does anyone have any input as to keeping wigglers comfortable during minor travel? They'll only be away from home for about 48 hours, but it's pretty important that they don't escape in the venue if it can be avoided.
