Dying Worms

OrganicAdam

For some reason in one of my bins(18gal tote) some of the worms are dying we did just have a 94 degree day and this bin has 2lbs of solid worms (I weighed myself). My other bins are fine though an only have 1lb. I use food processed egg shells an dolomite lime for ph balance the moisture content is good not to wet not to dry. I did switch the worms to that bin a few days ago, I dumped the old bin upside down into this bin so their worm chow was on the bottom. So im thinking they overheated? any input appreciated. I would say maybe a ounce is dead out of 2lbs. should I harvest the live worms? are they safe in their wit the dead worms? cuz it stinks like dead worms.

P.s. The bins are in a well shaded area
