Pretty straight forward. Good idea or bad? The tea itself? The mother?

Extra mothers would seem to be just the ticket for the worms. I have tossed one in and it was fine. The tea I would not add. I can not think of a reason to add it. It does have a bit of alcohol which is not needed in a bin.

It's good to know they're safe to throw in. Do you believe they're beneficial?

Their composition would seem to be exactly what worms eat. I could be wrong. I wish I had more to experiment with. It would be fun to dig back up 3 days 6 days and 9 days later.
