That's more than enough scraps for a small bin. I 'feed' my RubberMaid bin approximately 700 grams of kitchen waste weekly.

Cardboard. Worms do eat bedding so they'll eat cardboard along with the regular feedings.

I collected corn husks during corn season from the produce store/farm. That usually helps me over winter.

Quit toying with the idea and do it! When I started I worried about enough food also. Worm food is everywhere if you just look around. The real question is what kind of system is right for you. I agree about 2 lbs of worms for you, but you might want to start with 1 lb and let them expand. Go for it and let us know how it goes.
