Slithering Glimmer of Hope

In a race against time I have about seven pumpkins at the end of their lives. I am trying to get them into the already over filled worm inn in the order of the mostly likely pumpkin to leak first. Fearing the worms might not be able to keep up I may have to entomb a few pumpkins in a five gallon bucket in cardboard bedding shreds to leak out their guts and melt a bit. Then hope I can squeeze them into the bin before they smell. Outdoors here is unseasonable warm so no refrigeration help there. Freezer is full. I hate to just toss them into the outdoor compost. That is for the bad actors... cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, collards. I'm "gonna need a bigger" shredded cardboard pile.
