Newbie- Is this too crowded to Start ?

This is all new to me so I purchased a Worm Factory and set it up three days ago with the Cocoa, Wet Shredded Newpaper, 3 egg shells dried and crushed, acup of old Pumpkin chopped, 3 pureed banana peels and more shredded newspaper on top.

I just received and added 2#s of Red Wigglers but should I add another Bin as is seems it may get crowded quickly. I have a total of 7 Bins to add to this system.

Start slow, take your time and read about vermicomposting.

The most important attribute of a successful worm composter is PATIENCE! :)

2 pounds is a little crowded for one tray of a Worm Factory. Whether to add another tray now is a judgment call. Your worms may be OK, but they don't have room to expand.

Did you purchase one of those worm factories from amazon? I think that's also what I have. I pyrchased 200 worns to start with and when I added another 1000 I noticed it got a lot hotter in there. 2000 seems like a lot if it's the type of bin I'm thinking of.
