Can I add leftover canned veggies?

Hi,

I have two bins of worms I started keeping this year since spring with one bin, full and almost ready to go out on the gardens (hopefully in spring) and one i am still filling up...

I usually add coffee grounds, simple paper or cardboard, tea bags, banana peels( i've heard they take along time to break down but oh well), egg shells...we have tons of canned peas and crushed corn and stuff that we get from my grandmother.(from the store)
Now we barely use it or have a lot leftover that never gets eaten, is it possible to pour them into the worm compost bins?
besides the smell, will it hurt?
and can i also pour expired cans right into the bins?

All OK except for high salt content, and over-feeding which can/will cause other critters to join in the feast and/or odors from rotting uneaten food.

Tip-- Grind it all up make a slew out of it[juicer etc.] and they will slurp it all up like a bunch of hogs. I shred lengths of paper to put on top of regular bedding and sometimes sprinkle a mix of egg shells and corn meal pulverized on top of that paper and when I take the lid off I see worms on top of the top layer going after the cornmeal mix.
