Now what... just finished harvesting

I just harvested my first tray from the worm factory. I've let the tray compost for about 1 year and there are tons of great castings, but i was disappointed that there were still some peanut, avocado, and egg shells left over untouched by the worms. I now know not to put these in the bin, or make sure the pieces are really small if I want them to compost better. The castings I harvested are really wet. I decided to put them into a plastic Rubbermaid tub for storage, but my question is now what? Should i strain out the water or just let them sit as is in the bin? I was hoping the result would be more like potting soil, but they are really wet. How do people use the castings? Can i pot houseplants directly in the castings, or should I mix with potting soil? Thanks for your help!
