Vermicomposting

shredded 8 x 11 wrinting paper

I got some white writing paper shredded to around 1/8 inch strips that I was going to use for bedding. However, when I soaked it the paper came out mushy. It was too soft to really wring out like I do with newspaper so I used only a little bit mixed in with my newspaper and leaves.

Do you guys/gals use the mushy type paper or what did I do wrong?

I use shredded office paper. It is mixed with shredded cardboard, sprinkled on top of the bedding and sprayed lightly with water. That seems to work well.
