| I decided to do just a little tiny bit of digging around today in the bin. What I found was wonderful!
Underneath the top layer of food (which has gotten kinda hard and crusty) there is a layer of food which is nothing more than black mush, totally rotting, and it's filled with worms, presumably having a feast! I'm quite happy!! |

| Congratulations, that's great! I keep a sheet of soaked cardboard or a section of newspaper on top of my bin -- I just layer it on after each feeding. It keeps the top layer of food from getting hard (which always attracts ants in my house, for some reason). |
