Orientation of swing set?

Hi all,

Its getting harder and harder for me to lean over, so I'm trying to grow lots of things upright. I grew pole beans up a couple galvanized electrical conduit pipe trellises with nylon mesh and it worked great last year.

Our old swingset has been sitting behind the barn, and I've decided to use that this year too.

I'm going to mostly grow cucs up one side and snow peas on the ends. At first I wasn't going to use the backside, thinking it would be easier to get the cucs that way. But now I'm thinking maybe I should use the back part of the swingset too.

If I do......is north-side orientation the best? I'm thinking east-west would be best if I'm only going to use the one side, but N-S best if I'm going to use both sides.

If I do use both sides, will they block the sun for the other side too much, once they grow tall?

Hope I haven't confused you!

Its a metal swingset with a little bit of paint on it. We bought it around 1990, so hopefully there's no lead in it. Any way of knowing for sure?

Thanks for your help.
