Archway of poor situation seeks accommodating vine (see photo)

I have a wonderful iron archway on which I'd like to grow a hardy vine, which I can then let a more delicate annual vine grow on. I would love to do wisteria or roses, but check out the funny area where they will be planted...inside the corner of a wall at the top of a hill, 3-4 feet from the base of the arch.
Given this blank slate, what would you plant? (I live in zone 6)
