How to train this previously untrained grapevine

Hi all,

So, I got two cabernet vines the other week thinking I scored on 2-for-1 without seeing vines at other nurseries first (Doh!), but one looks great and is really filling out in the ground, and the other...looks like it's hurting or stunted. I've mulched and fertilized them with seaweed and some light fert, so I'll see if it comes back (Had a distinct musty smell when I pulled it out of the pot, but that was probably just the seaweed smell methinks) but my question is how would you train this vine? From what I've read, vines off old growth don't produce fruit (Ignore that I've staked the old-growth vine!), but the new growth is way out on the arm of newer wood and not looking too hot right now, but who knows, it might fill in over summer. I'm just wondering if it would collapse on it's own weight when it's bearing fruit! Also, if I should just train what's out on the 'arm' instead of double a "double trunk" with the old growth. Help appreciated!
