Littlekirstenjr is growing Heavenly Blue this winter indoors. It has flowered up on a relatively short vine and quickly too, I think. I've seen folks in the lower latitudes grow it and it flowered early in the year, at least earlier in the year than what you described.

I grew it twice. I recall the first time it flowered at the usual time, and the second time later in the year. I wish I got seeds from the early flowering strain.

Joseph, evidently with the right care this particular MG should do well, and has grown well for me in the past. Littlekirstenjr probably had just the right conditions. One of the great things about Heavenly Blue is that it doesn't seem to get diseased like the more sensitive strains, but the seeds don't save well for me, and they were evidently gotten out late. Only two made it, but oh what a lush vine, with so many buds! I have so many MG's but I would love to have a huge vine of this one to bloom. :) Arum
