Hyacinth Bean Vine as Groundcover?

I have never planted Purple Hyacinth Bean before. I was wondering if it could be used as a groundcover. Or could I train it to grow on my foundation shrubs without harming the shrubs? Thanks for your help.

It would smother your shrubs in my opinion.
